I am a Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles (ICP), and an active member in ICP's bay area branch, ICP Bay Area. I have a private practice in the Market Hall building across the street from the Rockridge BART station in Oakland. I have been practicing for over a decade and have helped a variety of clients with a wide range of psychological difficulties.

I work with adults, college-age and up. My patients range from those suffering from debilitating anxiety, depression, and trauma to those who come in simply for relationship issues or greater self understanding.

I can help you with:

  • Trauma, PTSD
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship problems (gay or straight)
  • Eating disorders
  • Sleep disorders
  • Grief/Loss
  • Divorce/Separation
  • Recovery from difficult childhood events

I approach therapy collaboratively and view the work as a joint effort to support, encourage, guide, and challenge clients to make the changes they want. My goal is to create a safe, containing space, where any issue can be discussed and explored.

I put together this website to give prospective clients a better idea of my approach, training, and experience. I find that the best way to discover if my approach works for you is to take advantage of the free initial consultation I offer. During this initial consultation we can discuss your needs, my approach, and how well the two fit together. This initial meeting is free and can be set up by e-mailing me or calling me at 510-686-3401.
